The thermal baths of Barèges and its new manager set a goal of welcoming 1,800 guests at the start of the season. With 1,785 curators on Oct. 29, we can consider it reached. “We are at – 22.48% compared to 2019 and + 6.90% compared to last year for treatments. In terms of fitness, we are at + 51.7% in the summer period, from May to September. It’s a good recovery,” said Christophe Fabre, director of the Barèges Thermal Baths.
The Foundation will undertake, over a period of two years, the reform of the sludge service, the backbone of the thermal baths. Indeed, rheumatology accounts for 88.90% of the institution’s activity and the respiratory system 9.89%. New for this winter, the establishment presents new products: Use of the thermal pool in the aqua training area: water bike, treadmill, trampoline, countercurrent walking, etc. Another product that combines light therapy with spa treatments. Finally, a product that combines a 4-hour ski pass + entry to Ciéleo and treatment. Ciéleo will be open on weekends once the ski resort is operational and other Christmas holidays.
