Download maps for offline navigation

While it’s rare to find yourself in a completely 4G-free environment, it can still happen. Thankfully, Apple Maps now offers the following: downloading maps in preparation for offline navigation. Very handy if you have to pass through remote areas on your way. To do this, you’ll first have to identify the area that will be affected (start with an area that’s small enough to be accurate) and search for it on Apple Maps. You should see several options appear below the map, including “Download.” For more details, check out our dedicated article.
