there 8th Franco-Portuguese Economic Conference This conference was organized by the Foreign Trade Consultants of France (CCEF) on February 14 at the Gulbenkian Foundation on the topic: “Human development, a key factor for Portugal’s success. The contribution of French companies.”
Minister Delegate in charge of Foreign Trade, Attraction and French People Abroad, Olivier Bechet, spoke at the opening of the conference to underscore the strength of Franco-Portuguese economic relations. Ambassador Helen Varno-Defromou highlighted the new questions facing young people in their relationship with work. The Mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas, has shown his conviction that social and environmental innovation is the key to respecting humanity. Two round tables were then held on talent development and social impact, in the presence of figures from the French and Portuguese political and economic worlds.
Ms. Ana Méndez Godinho, Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security, concluded this conference by highlighting the role of companies, especially French ones, in developing Portuguese talent, and highlighting Portuguese public policies in this area.
