An American woman was caught red-handed when she attacked her 95-year-old patient in the Harlem area of New York, USA.
CBS News reported that Dorothy Foy, a grandmother of several grandchildren, was at home with her caregiver when surveillance video captured the start of the physical assault. The employee allegedly struck her multiple times, including once with a frying pan.
The distressed lady eventually fell to the ground. She was holding a walker in her hand because she had difficulty walking.
M's granddaughterI Tiffany Mitchell, a resident of Foy, told CBS News she heard the woman yelling at the patient, saying nasty things to her. “She was taking water bottles, cans, juice bottles and throwing them at my grandmother,” she said.
The family claimed the carer would have been angry about changing the bedding, according to The Guardian. New York PostSeveral bottles of alcohol were reportedly found in the apartment.
The victim allegedly tried to defend herself, but to no avail. “I am weak. I cannot fight with this big woman,” she said.

Since the attack, the family has hired a new caregiver from a different agency.
No arrests have been made as of this writing. The police investigation is ongoing. Home care agency Medflyt has also launched an internal investigation.
Family MI Foy wants to take action against the agency as well. The family said they are still in shock.
