Martinique continues to suffer from an epidemic of bronchiolitis. According to Santé Publique France, over the past two weeks, bronchiolitis activity has been relatively stable in the city. At the hospital level, the number of visits to the emergency room increased slightly to achieve a steady positive rate. Since the outbreak of the epidemic in mid-November 2021, the total number of bronchiolitis-related consultations in community medicine has reached 515.
At the level of SOS clinicians, activity was at a lower level this week, compared to the previous week, with fewer than three visits recorded per week. In terms of hospital monitoring, the trend of pediatric emergencies rose slightly this week compared to the previous week. Since the beginning of the epidemic, there have been 127 visits, including 56 hospitalizations.
In all, since the beginning of the epidemic, 515 free medical consultations were estimated, 21 medical consultations were carried out by SOS Médecins and 127 emergency visits including 49 hospitalizations.
