The acquisition of a system that has been around for decades in the Netherlands, is the first Flames Baumeister, bOb Van Reeth, imposed it in Flanders in 2000. More than 700 invitation calls have been launched to national and international offices since then, and about half have been carried out. A Celebration of Public Architecture, published by Berlin publisher Jovis Verlag together with the team of Vlaams Bouwmeester and Vlaams Architectuurinstituut have compiled 70 of them, demonstrating their quality and proving in process that public architecture can be bold and thoughtful.
