Two people were killed and a third seriously wounded Monday at a youth center in Des Moines, Iowa, US (center), police said.
After an emergency call, police who went to Start Here, a program to help young people in difficulty, discovered three people with gunshot wounds, two of them “in a very serious condition.”
These two people, the Taliban, died (…). “The third person who works at the facility is in a serious condition,” Des Moines police spokesman Paul Parizek told reporters.
The police have not yet been able to determine the exact age of the two victims. “I don’t know if they’re adults or … young teens,” Parizek said.
Based on witness descriptions, police stopped a car and arrested “three possible suspects”.
It said in a statement that the investigation is continuing.
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds said she was “shocked and saddened” by the shooting.
These two deaths come after 11 people were killed Saturday night in California, when a seventy-year-old man of Asian descent was shot dead during Chinese New Year celebrations.
