Burkina Faso Hugues-Fabrice Zangou finished second in the competition with a time of 17.81 meters for the sixth and final triple jump. Favorable winds of less than 2 m/s (+1.5 m/s) gave her the year’s best global performance at the start of the outdoor season.
Cubans Andy Diaz Hernandez (17.80m, +2.6m/s) and Lázaro Martinez (17.71m, +3.4m/s) complete this foursome in the wind.
In the pole vault, American Katie Moon, the 2022 world and 2021 Olympic champion, cleared the bar on her second attempt at 4.81 metres, four centimeters short of her best performance last season, allowing her to claim the world title in Eugene.
