This is a series that should not go unnoticed, especially among fans of Japanese culture. Adapted from the novel of the same name by the author James Clavell, Shogun It follows the story of a Portuguese Jesuit ship stranded off the coast of Japan sometime in the 17th century. Among the survivors of the sinking was John Blackthorn (Cosmo Jarvis), British sailor.

The latter would attract the attention of General Yoshii Toranaga (Hiroyuki Sanada), who will decide to make him his prisoner so that he can learn about the customs and culture of his country.
