Leuze 5B sensors are suitable for the logistics, packaging and automotive industries for control applications. It has dimensions of 11 x 32.4 x 20 mm, and can be installed in facilities with limited space, such as transmission lines. Fastening is carried out using metal inserts with an M3 thread. In terms of configuration, operators can adjust and adapt the sensors at any time and quickly. All models are IP67 and Ecolab certified.
Technically, 5B sensors can detect depolarizing objects such as reflective, coated or shiny objects, at a range of up to 15 meters and up to 6.5 meters in the case of reflective photovoltaics. Unidirectional baffles operate at a switching frequency of up to 900 Hz, and the HT 5B direct sensing cell operates at a switching frequency of up to 1000 Hz. For safety reasons, light/dark switching of the output can be done by wire to prevent any unintentional tampering.
