Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has announced that it has 100 vacancies at its two factories in Évora, for both skilled and unskilled workers, “to respond to the increase in production capacity.”
“Embraer has opened 100 vacancies to work at the Embraer Metálicas and Embraer Composites industrial units,” located in the Évora Aeronautical Industrial Park, the company said.
According to the aircraft manufacturer, these contracts “aim to respond to the increase in production capacity of the Centers of Excellence” located in the city of Alentejo, the operation of which is “of strategic importance for Embraer’s current and future products.”
In addition, the company also aims to implement the “natural replacement of vacancies” and fulfill the “commitment” to “support local economic development.”
The company noted that “Portugal is the country where Embraer invests the largest possible amount in industrial capacity, outside of Brazil, which strengthens the company's strategic presence in Europe.”
Embraer’s facilities in Évora “combine the latest technologies in the manufacturing of metal and composite airframes with a high level of digitalization and automation of production processes,” Embraer Portugal President Antonio Carmesini noted.
The company said that for these 100 jobs, the initial basic salary is 900 euros for qualified workers and 830 euros for unskilled professionals in the sector, who will have to undergo internal training.
