Nicolas Laplante and Francis Forget will climb several floors and thousands of steps, carrying 100 pounds of equipment on their backs, next September, in Shawinigan.

Goal: To raise as much money as possible to help people with neuromuscular diseases.

In total, more than $1,600 has already been raised by the two men for the cause.

But the goal is to continue to see that number increase between now and D-Day.

The physical challenge was, to be sure, intense, but the two firefighters wanted to outdo themselves physically for this cause.

Doing the challenge this year is a huge success for them, but the goal is also to raise awareness and convince others to join them in the coming years.
