D'Jal on “Operation Portugal 2: Castle Life” at the Coranses Estate

In this new issue of “Terre de Tournage”, Ségolène Aloni welcomes comedian Degal and producer Marc Messonnier for the film “Opération Portugal 2: La vie de château” in theaters on February 7.

Digal is back

Almost 3 years after the release of his first work of art that gathered 450,000 spectators in French cinemas despite the difficult context of the reopening of cinemas, D'Jal returns with “Operation Portugal” which immerses the comedian in the life of the castle. The character of Hakim, a clumsy and confused policeman, is back and must foil the plans of a crooked promoter by infiltrating the castle while he is preparing for his wedding. D'Jal is accompanied by the film's producer Marc Messonnier who has more than 80 feature films to his credit.

Direction of the Courances area

This second work was filmed in the summer of 2023, notably on the estate of Corrance (Essonne) for 6 weeks, the site includes 86 hectares of land, a castle and a park. The site has been used for the shooting of several films, notably in 1962 for “Le Masque De Fer” by Henri Decoigne with Jean Marais who used the castle to make it the residence of Mazarin and his mistress Anne of Austria, as well as “Molière” by Laurent Tirard in 2007, but also more recently “Le sens de la fête”.
