Donald Trump, who has always presented himself as a strong, confident and dominant figure, seems to have lost all his means since Kamala Harris became the Democratic nominee after Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race, John Parisella wonders.
“Destabilizing is probably the best word to describe it,” the American policy expert notes. “I’ve never seen him in this situation and I’ve been in this situation for several years.”
Mr. Barisella actually believes the billionaire businessman lost his mind “in this campaign that he did not expect.”
During his interview on LCN on Friday, he mentioned that Kamala Harris, for her part, can present a “vision for the future” of America that can be distributed over two terms (eight years), while her opponent is limited to only one term since he took office. He has already been president for four years.
The expert adds that the selection of Tim Walz as vice president of MI Harris seemed more useful to the vice presidential campaign than J.D. Vance was to Trump.
Mr. Walz and MI “Harris makes a very interesting pairing,” says the expert. “I went looking for a vice presidential candidate who captured the imagination and gave the impression of being well-connected.”
Although Mr. Parisella points out that there are still about 80 days before the presidential election, he specifies that the Democratic candidate is leading in “five or six” of the seven key states, according to the latest polls.
“She could actually win this election,” the guest explained. “I’m pretty sure she’ll win the popular vote, and it’s still an electoral college issue, but she’s in a good position as we speak and that’s what’s affecting Mr. Trump.”
The Democratic National Convention begins next week. This will be a great time to learn more about the Vice President's goals and plans.
