Christian Dion from the band Chamblee, nicknamed Die-On in the artistic community, presents his latest album entitled Phoenix. The work presents a collection of songs that explain his new life away from his demons.
Dae Eun, why did you choose this name? Phoenix For your new album?
“Like a bird rising from its ashes, it is a rebirth for me after a dark past. Today, I am completely free from crime, and I have healed from that. I am a new person. Before, my music was angry, but now it has evolved more.”

What keeps you going in life now?
“I feel all the positives from my choices. To get to my current position, I thought first of myself. I pushed myself to get through this, and I'm currently focusing on my mission at Maison Stéphane Fallu (she supervises young people in difficulty, editor's note). I want to do good for those around me.” »
How much did Christian Dion take over Die-On?
“The two are inseparable. Die-On is the artist in me and he has developed. He follows the same path as the man I am. They live together very well.”
in phoenix, What is the most emotionally difficult song to write?
“It's the song Democratic Party of Japan. It is a testimony to young people who have to live with a terrible past. I had to find a way to put it all on paper. This coincides with my assignment at Maison Stéphane Fallu. I have to be able to separate myself from situations in order to remain objective. You must not allow emotion to overcome you. »
How close is your work at Maison Stéphane Fallu to your heart?
“I feel like I'm making a difference and being helpful. Sometimes the kids text me when I'm in the studio or about to go on stage for a concert. I always answer. We're thinking about opening a girls' wing soon. We also want to open Maison Stéphane Fallu all over Quebec »
You lead a writing workshop at Maison Stéphane Fallu. What does writing bring you?
“It's therapy. Sometimes you don't know how to say certain things or feelings. So I write and share it. I love finding the words to write my songs and adding subtleties to them.”
On your album, you mix piano and electro. Why this choice?
