Ongola Fablab and Sahel Fablab in the Science Hacking Day final

Since Wednesday, October 16, 2024, the industries of the Cameroon National Office, Ongola Fablab and Sahel Fablab, are participating in the Science Hack Day final, taking place in Douala (Cameroon).

Science Hack Day is an international event where science and technology enthusiasts come together to prototype solutions to a variety of challenges. This event is usually organized by scientific communities around the world.

For 48 hours, participants organically form multidisciplinary teams to solve specific problems. The goal is to find solutions to challenges, around a specific topic, with an emphasis on using digital manufacturing processes developed within manufacturing plants.

The Scientific Breakthrough Day is implemented in two stages:

  • A competition within fablabs to choose the best two projects that will compete in the final stage. These two projects were awarded awards by fablab.
  • A final brings together the winning projects from all manufacturers, which will compete for the grand prize.

The Cameroon National Science Day Finals will be held in Douala until October 18. It places 5 solidarity artworks in competition: Angola Fablab (Yaoundé), Yansukilab Wourilab (Douala), Radiolab (Kribi), and Sahel Fablab (Ngaoundéré). Good luck everyone!
