The association Les Amis de l'Astrada, with more than 80 members, held its meeting and renewed its support for cultural work in Marciac.
After praising Fanny Pages for her support during the six-and-a-half years of running EPCC Astrada, Jay LaRope, president of the association, welcomed Victoria Larrain into her duties as director since the beginning of September.
In turn, Victoria Larin thanked the volunteers for their welcome and commitment. Also explaining that “if Astrada is recognized for its local and national roots, the project over the next three years will be to open it up internationally and become a place where everyone feels welcome.”
Volunteers
Founded in 2018, the association provides logistical support to the venue, staff, artistic teams and the public throughout the season and during the Jazz Festival. It has 81 members, including about sixty active members. Each show mobilizes about forty volunteers for the 21 assigned tasks. We can martyr, display, house, transport and receive artists and the public…
For this exercise, 4,550 hours were carried out by a heavily invested team. The financial statements presented in the balance sheet and the activity report were unanimously approved.
