The Xbox is for the cloud? Chromecast to stream Xbox Game Pass games? This isn’t the first time we’ve mentioned the topic on Xboxygen, and it’s possible that the Xbox boss has teased an upcoming announcement.
Phil Spencer just posted on Twitter a photo of his rack evoking the Vault Boy on the anniversary of the Fallout series. But upon closer examination, a hitherto unknown object was placed at the top of the shelf, prominent enough that it could be seen.
Nobody knows what it is now, but when you see the size of the Xbox console next to it, you can imagine it’s a Chromecast-like device that plugs into your TV to play Xbox Game Pass games. This one can be anywhere between 10cm and 13cm tall according to our estimations, with a white Xbox Series S-style build.
At the moment, Microsoft has not communicated on this device, but we do know that a Chromecast device is officially in the works on Xbox Since summer 2021.
Xbox designs its streaming devices for the cloud, so gamers can enjoy them from any screen, without the need for a console.
At the time, we were talking about the Xbox TV Stick, and unless it’s a completely different device here, there’s every reason to believe we’ll learn more about it before the end of the year.
