An American Airlines flight from Ohio was forced to make an emergency landing after colliding with a goose.

A Boeing 737-800 was heading to Phoenix on Sunday when passengers saw one of the engines catch fire.
“It was the first time in my life that I was preparing to die,” Matthew Dink told CNN.
A deafening noise first alerted the crew and passengers.
“The boat was on fire for about three minutes,” said Mr Danek, who saw flames coming from one of the engines.
According to CNN, the passengers wept and others panicked in silence.
“The whole crew was absolutely fantastic. Even the pilot had a great sense of humor. His confidence was incredible.
Emergency crews responded to an incident at CMH this morning that involved burning equipment. The plane landed safely and all airport services are running, can we read on the Twitter account of the place.
It was eventually added that the accident was due to a mechanical problem.
The plane, which had not yet completed its climb at the time of the accident, made an emergency landing at John Glenn Columbus Airport in Ohio.
