A school bus carrying 22 children was involved in a serious and fatal collision in New York City’s Webster neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon. The car driver and his dog died instantly.
While returning from a school trip, a Wayne County Central School bus collided with a car after a 73-year-old driver failed to obey a stop sign.
Upon collision, the bus and car caught fire, according to information from the New York Post.
Fortunately, the students and two adults rushed out of the bus before it completely caught fire.
The driver of the car involved in the accident and his dog died. A student and an adult on the school bus were taken to the hospital.
Children with minor injuries were treated at the scene by emergency services.
