A telephone interview between Nabil Ammar and his Portuguese counterpart

Mr. Nabil Ammar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad, held a telephone call today, June 18, 2024, with his Portuguese counterpart, Paulo Rangel.

This meeting was able to shed light on the strong relations of friendship and cooperation between Tunisia and Portugal, and to reaffirm the common desire to strengthen them, especially by enhancing the pace of exchange of high-level visits and achieving future bilateral relations. Deadlines, including the fifth session of the high-level meeting between the two countries.

The two ministers welcomed the close cooperation between the two countries at the multilateral level, and agreed to intensify joint work and coordination within European Union bodies and within the framework of international organizations.

They discussed at length the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. In this regard, the Minister renewed Tunisia's principled position in support of the just Palestinian cause and the necessity of putting an end to the genocide against the defenseless Palestinian people in order to enable them to regain all their legitimate and inalienable rights.
