When it was built in 1889, the Moulin de Peonier was simply a mill. Today, 135 years later, La Doré retains its old-world charm, while offering plenty of activities for young and old.

Daily access to the site includes a traditional visit to the mill and old buildings, as well as water activities (kayaks, paddle boards, pedal boats). There are also hiking trails and outdoor games (zip line, slides, giant trampoline, mini golf). Visitors can also follow a puzzle trail as they explore the site. Note that the historic site is open every day during the summer.

In addition to all these activities, visitors are invited to enjoy an immersive experience using a cell phone or tablet. Two characters have been created to bring the visit to life: Telesphore and Maurice. These avatars, accompanied by video capsules and the remains of the mill, allow us to better imagine and understand everyday life in the past year.

Visitors can also extend their stay by staying in one of the three chalets available on site. For those staying there, the Moulin des Pionniers now offers packed lunches to cook exclusively with local produce. A novelty that should please more than one!
