Announcement: Travis Fimmel (Vikings) in the most anticipated sci-fi series of the year – News Series

The end of the year is set to be epic and mysterious with one of the most anticipated sci-fi series: “Dune: Prophecy” has been revealed with a promising new trailer. Travis Fimmel (Vikings) and Emily Watson (Chernobyl) are in the cast.

Note to fans of Denis Villeneuve's Dune series: You'll have to wait until the third installment of Paul (Timothée Chalamet) and Chani (Zendaya) adventures with a new fantasy story that is part of the world of the film adaptation of Frank Herbert's monumental literary work.

In the form of a prequel series, this new fantasy takes place 10,000 years before the first feature film, and will highlight a large female community in the Dune: Bene Gesserit universe.

Dune: Prophecy follows sisters Valya and Tula Harkonnen as they battle forces that threaten the future of humanity and establish the legendary sect known as the Bene Gesserit.

One of the most anticipated series at the end of the year

The series is inspired by the novel. Sisters Community Written by Brian Herbert (son of Frank Herbert) and Kevin J. Anderson, it promises an uncompromising political and mystical thriller with plenty of twists, turns, low blows, and stunning romantic intrigue.
