Druide Informatique announces the publication of Antidote 12, a major updated version of its writing assistance software that includes artificial intelligence (AI)-powered paraphrasing functions, more powerful reviewers, and more dictionaries and rich guides.
Antidote is one of the most beautiful consumer software developed in Quebec. For my part, I use it every day at work, even for trivial emails.
Artificial intelligence as an enhancement to improve your French or English
Antidote 12, which opens today, presents “five aspects of reformulation: Rewrite, revise, improve, moderate and shortening. For each component, Antidote formulates appropriate queries to the large language model trained by Druide and hosted on its servers. It filters and corrects the results, and asks for suggestions to reformulate them.
The user thus harnesses the power of generative AI in a simple and controlled way, and obtains results consistent with his ideas. Therefore you will need to be connected to the Internet to benefit from it.
More and more powerful debuggers
Here too, Druide uses AI to improve its debuggers. New neural engines dramatically increase the proofreader's visibility, both in French and English. New smart filters have been added, such as detecting duplicate phrases throughout text.
The quick correction function delivers its diagnostics directly in browsers: underlines appear as soon as you type in web applications that you just click on to correct.
The latest corrector, Multi-Document Correction, scans a set of documents in HTML, TXT, Markdown, and LaTex formats; Useful for frequent correction of texts that are likely to change frequently.
Anti oops! Anti-attack
For the many emails we write every day in the office or when working remotely, Anti-Oops! Adds a new discovery: annoying tone tone. A tool that will avoid passages written under the influence of emotion.
Richer dictionaries
All dictionaries are updated and more than 3,200 new French words and phrases are added, such as: Disengage, com. chimichurri and Inflatable jar. In English, that's 4,700 new words.
Phrases have their own entry in the dictionary, with synonyms, co-occurrences, lexical fields and quotations.
Subscribe to Antidote+
As a regular user, I prefer the subscription format. Currently, my Antidote+ auto-renewal that expires October 19th costs just $72 for one year. It's the best value for money in my Mac.
