Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Wolves star Pedro Neto ahead of a potential January move.
The Gunners made another strong start to their Premier League campaign after a 4-0 win over Bournemouth saw them maintain their unbeaten run.
Mikel Arteta will be well aware of this situation, having won the title last season, and will be well aware of the need to strengthen his squad in January.
With that in mind, reports have now emerged suggesting that the Spaniard has identified a potential transfer target ahead of the winter window.
according to womanArsenal are monitoring the situation of Wolves winger Neto ahead of any potential move.
The 23-year-old has been in excellent form for Gary O’Neill’s side this season, picking up four assists and one goal in his first seven games.
As Mail Sport reported last summer, the Gunners have had a long-term interest in the Portuguese international.
They were considering launching a bid for the winger in 2022, but his value is estimated at more than £50m – and Arsenal are looking to pay around £35m.
Despite this, Arsenal have been in discussions with his agent Jorge Mendes over the Portuguese international for a while, and are hopeful that a deal can be agreed.
Neto has been a key figure since his arrival from Braga in 2019 and made 118 appearances for Wolves, scoring 12 goals and providing 17 assists.
If Neto joins Arsenal, he will do well to improve their attack as they proved their dominance in attack with a 4-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.
Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Ben White scored for Arteta’s side as they maintained their unbeaten run and climbed to third in the table.
