Portuguese football is in mourning. On Thursday, the family of Arthur Jorge announced the death of the former Portuguese coach, after a long struggle with illness, at the age of 78. Known to the general public in France for winning the championship with Paris Saint-Germain in 1994 as well as the French Cup the previous year, the Lusitanian also made his mark during his spells at Porto and Benfica. If many figures in the world of football, such as Parisian President Nasser Al-Khelaifi, wanted to respond to his death, the Portuguese Football Federation, for its part, announced that he will be honored this Thursday evening. The stadiums where the Portuguese clubs still in the competition (Benfica, Sporting, Braga) will try to get a ticket to qualify for the round of 16 of the European League.
