In just over 24 hours, more than $3.3 million was raised.
The page description reads: “President Donald Trump has authorized this account as a site for donations to supporters and families who were injured or killed in today’s brutal and horrific assassination attempt.”
A man named Corey Comperatore died in the attack on the former US president on Saturday.
Two other men, David Dutch, 57, and James Copenhaver, 74, were injured but are in stable condition, according to CNN.
Donald Trump's national campaign finance director, Meredith O'Rourke, confirmed in a statement that the former US president authorized the creation of the account, according to CNN.
Donald Trump arrived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Sunday evening to participate in the Republican Party convention where he is expected to be formally nominated as the presidential candidate.
