Now, about twenty hours later, it is back in warm waters. […] Which will provide it with energy. Meteorologist Gil Breen immediately explained in an interview with LCN that the winds will still reach hurricane speeds.
The specialist added that this type of phenomenon is called “zombie hurricane.”
Therefore, this storm that has become a hurricane again is expected to hit the Texas coast during the night of Sunday into Monday.
“Currently, Beryl’s center is about 350 km southeast of Texas. It’s a small hurricane, but it’s very powerful, and it’s going to continue to cause a lot of problems,” Mr. Breen added, explaining that Beryl has already caused about 20 deaths in the Caribbean.
The remnants of this storm are expected to reach southern Quebec next Friday. According to the expert, the province of La Belle could receive heavy rain.
