US President Joe Biden on Friday accused Russia of committing “horrific atrocities” after at least 50 people, including five children, were killed in a bombing of Kramatorsk train station in eastern Israel on Friday.

“The attack on a Ukrainian train station is another horrific atrocity committed by Russia by striking civilians who tried to evacuate to safety,” he said on Twitter.
AFP journalists at the scene saw at least thirty bodies in body bags or under tarpaulins in front of the station.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky denounced Russia’s “unlimited evil” and “inhumane” methods.
Moscow denied responsibility for this bombing, claiming that it did not have the type of missile that was to be used, and denounced the Ukrainian “provocation”.
Kramatorsk is a part of Donbass under Ukrainian control. The rest of this region has been under the control of pro-Russian separatists since 2014, and Moscow made the occupation of this region its first goal after withdrawing its forces from the Kyiv region and northern Ukraine.
Kyiv will benefit in this new phase of the conflict from the S-300 air defense system provided by the Slovak government, which Joe Biden thanked in a press release on Friday.
This donation was made possible by NATO sending four Patriot missile defense batteries to Slovakia.
Joe Biden added, “With Russian forces repositioning for the next phase of this war, I have instructed my administration to continue to do its utmost to identify and provide the Ukrainian military with the modern weapons it needs to defend its country.
