The Banque Populaire du Sud Foundation recently awarded €3,000 to BIOVIV’ART for its festival “Arts and Sciences in the Service of Biodiversity%”, the first of which will take place from 12-14 August in Alina. , in the Pyrenees orientales.
The BIOVIV’ART Festival project, an event aimed at raising awareness through the performing arts on biodiversity conservation, won the Banque Populaire de the South Foundation in the “Social and Environmental Innovation” category, which rewarded 15 associations. The first edition of BIOVIV’ART in Alénya will take place at Caves Ecoiffier on August 12, 13 and 14, 2022. In the program, presentations, conferences, discussions, presentations, meetings, workshops and social living to raise public awareness of the conservation and restoration of biodiversity and ecosystems in the spirit of “Festive, Positive, Active Creative and local. The organizers therefore wish to inspire everyone to act, at their own level, by changing their behavior to reduce their negative impact on the environment, conserve resources, restore ecosystems, and thus contribute to action for biodiversity, now and locally.
The BIOVIV’ART Festival program consists of four modules, each dismissed in the form of an art presentation, expert intervention and practical, creative and sensory workshops: “How to make our soils more vibrant”, “Going for zero waste”, “Reconnecting with nature and the wild world” and “How to save butterflies (and all other animals)”. Theatrical companies (local or non-local) will present high-quality productions related to each topic. At the end of each performance in the hall, the ‘edge of the stage’ will allow the audience to discuss with the artists. They will be joined by a scientist to shed light and give his reactions to the displayed piece.

Banque Populaire du South launched its foundation in 2013 in order to reinforce its societal commitment and affirm the spirit of cooperation that inspires its members and employees.
