In an interview with LCN, Talsom's VP and expert in the digital economy, Stephane Rycoll, explained that OpenAI's voice assistant is now able to detect emotions incredibly quickly.

“You ask it a question with a certain tone and emotion. It shows that it understands the feelings and responds with the same feelings. And that is the progress we are making today. Everything is already in ChatGPT-4o, but in separate elements. Today they brought it all together.”

In one example provided by ChatGPT, a real-time voice assistant can help a teen understand a math problem like a teacher or tutor.

“ChatGPT can read the emotions on their faces and know if they are worried, if they are happy, about everything,” says the expert. “Currently the reaction time for AI is 320 milliseconds, which is the reaction time for us humans.”

He continues, “We are heading towards something completely extraordinary and wonderful and dangerous and worrying… I don't know.” We're blurring the boundaries between human and machine. honestly. “We are creating an artificial emotion.”

Mr. Ricoll believes that small and medium-sized companies must definitely undertake a digital transformation that takes these technological developments into account if they want to survive.

He adds: “A company that has not integrated AI tools will find itself facing great difficulty in recruiting people, and the next generation will grow up with AI tools.”
