According to information from the Daily Mail, the Portuguese star has asked the Red Devils to release him from his contract so that he can sign for free at a club that plays in the Champions League. So the 37-year-old would be willing to sit down with a salary of around €430,000 a week to move away from Manchester United. But the latter does not hear it that way.
The English side and Erik ten Hag are counting on Cristiano Ronaldo next year to return to the top of the Premier League table. The English media also indicate that the Red Devils are offering the Portuguese to extend his contract until 2024 in order to loan him next season, and that he will return next summer to Manchester, in the hope that the club will qualify for the Champions League.
