The Fiji and Portuguese national teams will face each other on Sunday, October 8, at Toulouse Stadium, in the final match of Group A, in a decisive match for Fiji.
Fiji will play one of the most important matches in their history on Sunday in Toulouse against Portugal. Fiji currently sit third in Group C, behind Australia (11 points) but who have already played all their matches and Wales (first on 19 points), the Fijians need just one point to qualify for the World Cup quarter-finals. This will be the first time the Pacific nation has achieved this performance since the 2007 World Cup, which was actually held in France.

For their part, the Portuguese are in last place in the group with two points after their draw with Georgia (18-18), which was in Toulouse. In its other matches during the World Cup, Portugal lost to Wales (28-8) and Australia (34-14).
