Foreign Minister Melanie Jolie announced on Sunday that Canada will participate in the sea corridor to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
This announcement came after the minister's meeting with her Emirati counterpart, Abdullah bin Zayed.
I had a fruitful meeting with my Emirati counterpart. We discussed the need to increase humanitarian aid reaching Gaza by all possible means.”I Julie on social media
The minister announced in a press statement that Canada is committed to joining the international coalition “which is working to increase the flow of aid to Gaza through a humanitarian sea corridor departing from Cyprus.”
It is noteworthy that in the face of insufficient land aid, the European Union and the United States announced, on Friday, the opening of a sea corridor between Cyprus and the Gaza Strip to transport humanitarian aid to the Palestinian Strip.
