Ghost of Tsushima, PC version disappears from Steam offering in over 170 countries

The PC version of Ghost of Tsushima: DIRECTOR'S CUT has been removed from Steam in over 170 countries. This news comes after the issue of Helldivers 2 Which forced Sony to back away from its PSN account requirements.

The company announces the removal of the Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut Steam page. This decision affects countries where the PSN service is not available. Just under 200 countries are affected. At present there is no clear explanation for this choice. It is even more difficult to understand because Sucker Punch has confirmed for its part that it will not be necessary to have a PSN account to play this title on Steam (single player mode).

However, Valve is automatically refunding Ghost of Tsushima pre-orders made in affected regions. This policy is also observed at the main vendor Green Man Gaming. Message explaining

You will receive a refund for the game you previously purchased – Ghost of Tsushima. The publisher now requires a secondary account to play certain parts of this game – this account cannot be created from your country.

Ghost of Tsushima's PC release is fast approaching. It is scheduled for May 16.
