This afternoon, Italy’s Giulia Martinengo Marquet won on home soil the CSIO 3* Grand Prix in Gorla Minore. In the saddle of the 1918 Scuderia Calle Deluxe, she had a clear lead over Portugal’s Rodrigo Jestera Almeida and Adair Dias de Abreu, linked respectively by Quirados Z and Dartanion.
After the Nations Cup which ended with victory for the Blues on Friday, today at CSIO 3* Grand Prix all eyes were on Gorla Minore. Fifty-one couples were at the start of the event to try and nail all the nitty-gritty of the preliminary course and have a chance at getting to the tee. Member of Friday’s winning team and author of a clear double tour with Iglesias DV in the team event, Olivier accompanied Robert by the same bay this afternoon.
