As we mentioned previously, Google Pixel 9 has been spotted on Geekbench With 8GB of RAM, Tensor G4 and CPU performance that somehow manages to be worse than Pixel 8's. The more premium Pixel 9 Pro XL has now embarked on the same journey as well, albeit with better results.
Unlike the Pixel 9, the Pixel 9 Pro XL displays numbers that exceed those of the Pixel 8 Pro(Buy on Amazon) And Tensioner G3But only marginally. The flagship recorded a single-core score of 1,950 and a multi-core score of 4,655. This translates to about a 10% improvement in CPU performance compared to the Tensor G3 in our database, which averages scores of 1,711 and 4,382 across the board. -Core and multi-core tests respectively.
Unfortunately, these numbers suggest that the Tensor G4 will still lag far behind the competition, with Qualcomm's latest generation, the Snapdragon 8 second generation from Qualcomm, which provides slightly better results than the Tensor G4 on this particular list. This has been true for the previous three generations of Google's Tensor SoCs, however, and fans of the series will likely point to real-world use cases as a better indicator of the phones' capabilities.
As in the Pixel 9 lineup, the Pixel 9 Pro XL chipset has one core clocked at 3.1GHz, three cores clocked at 2.6GHz and four cores clocked at 1.95GHz. Memory has been doubled, albeit with 16GB of RAM versus the 8GB included in the Pixel 9.
