The body of a 27-year-old Polish woman who was missing for more than a week has been found naked and lifeless in a plastic bag on the Greek island of Kos where she was spending the summer with her partner.
Hotel waitress Anastasia Patricia Rubenska, 27, called her boyfriend on June 11 to tell him she was coming to find transportation to their meeting point after a drunken night on the Greek island of Kos, local media reported last week.
However, the young woman would never have reached her destination, after a surveillance camera showed her on the motorbike of a 32-year-old man from Bangladesh, Greek-language media Keep Talking Greece reported.
His naked body with asphyxiation marks was finally found Sunday, half wrapped in a plastic bag and covered with a branch in a swampy area, a stone’s throw from the motorcyclist’s house.
For his part, the 30-year-old, the last to see the woman alive, was arrested and charged with kidnapping, but charges could be added, while blond locks, a bloodstained jacket and a ticket to Italy were found in his house. Greek media reported.
If the prime suspect in the case had confirmed that he had a consensual sexual relationship with the young woman before bringing her to the meeting point, signs of a struggle would have been detected on her body as well as that of her Pakistani roommate, according to Keep Talking Greece.
