A 22-year-old New Yorker made a spectacle of himself by eating a large bowl of cheese balls under the hood of a car in front of hundreds of onlookers.
Spectators, drawn by posters promoting the event, gathered in Manhattan's Union Square Park on Saturday, the New York Post reported.
“Look at me eating this whole jar of cheese balls,” might we read on the poster posted around town bearing a picture of the young man holding a giant jar of the snack.
“I decided to do it because I thought New York City could use something like this,” the young man said, admitting that “cheese balls are fun and eating a whole tub of them is a difficult task, but not impossible.
The anonymous cheese ball eater accomplished his feat in about 30 minutes, before heading to sign the audience who came to support him in his performance, according to the American newspaper.
“I think everyone wants to be behind the mask,” said the anonymous eater, a student from his state, admitting that he did not really expect “so many people to show up.”
