A 25-year-old woman who left her four dogs in her car while eating dinner has been charged with animal cruelty after her death.
Tessia White, a young woman from Missouri, was on a trip to Florida, CNN reports.
Police say she left her four dogs, an adult Goldendoll, a Boxer, and two Goldendoll puppies, in the car while she and a friend went to eat at a restaurant in New Smyrna Beach.
When they got back to their car, they told the police that they had found the four dogs unconscious and called 911.
The person who called 911 said he went out in the middle of dinner to check on the dogs and they were okay. But when they got back to the car at the end of the meal, the air conditioning could have been turned off.
