Honoring the Algerian cultural heritage in Portugal

Algerians are committed to making their cultural and historical heritage known to the whole world. Between the influencers who show up in traditional costumes and the diaspora who organize cultural days, all approaches are good for preserving Algeria’s heritage.

In the aftermath, a major cultural event is being prepared in Porto, Portugal. And in the framework of the celebration of the sixty-first anniversary of the independence of Algeria. The event, titled “Days of History and Image of Algeria”, aims to promote Algeria’s cultural heritage.

“Days of History and Image of Algeria” to promote the national heritage in Portugal

Members of the diaspora in Porto, as well as Portuguese citizens, will be able to discover Algeria’s cultural heritage from 5 to 7 July 2023. This initiative is organized by the Porto-based Association of Algerian Friendship Lusso for Arts and Culture.

Visitors to the event will be offered a rich program. Thanks to the exhibitions, photos and images of the Algerian war, these visitors will be able to discover the heroes of the glorious war against French colonialism.

In addition, a documentary film will be shown in Porto to shed light on the history of Algeria. In addition, the Algerian-Losso Friendship Association for Arts and Culture will host a conference to discuss the starting point of the Algerian revolution, but also to talk about Algerian culture after independence.

In addition to these shows, traditional fashion fairs, such as Karakou and Oran Blousa, are on the program of the “Days of Algerian History and Image”. Visitors to this event will also be able to sample delicious traditional Algerian cakes and pastries. An artistic concert will also be organized at the end of his days dedicated to Algeria.
