The Childhood-Youth Service presents a fun day in partnership with several associations.

Everything is explained or not. This is part of the red thread of the day that the Childhood and Youth Service is presenting, this Saturday, November 26, at the Colette-Besson Sports Complex and in particular at the Alain Le Hettet Hall. As part of the Science Festival, for the second year in a row, a range of activities will follow one another, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Led by Sonia Moghaddam, elected Representative of Education and Youth, this second edition is in fact based on two pillars: on the one hand scientific accuracy and on the other a dream of magic.

For the first part, it is in particular the Planète science Occitanie association – whose branch is Hérault and Gard in Marsillargues – that will be present with 4 facilitators.

With it, it will be the matter of the universe. Planète science Occitanie will install an inflatable planetarium in the auditorium. “ Fifteen people will be able to enter the temple at each session (each one is 45 minutes long, editor’s note) And discover everything you see in the heavenly vault. We also show stars and as scientists we will answer all questions.Michel Hook is the coordinator of the association.

Senses discover with a little magic

Another animation dedicated to astronomy and carried out by the association: making small air and water rockets.

It should be noted that in addition to the Science Festival, the association also intervenes, every Saturday in Lunel, within the framework of receiving recreational activities associated with the school and is a stakeholder in the new education cities system for CM1 classes whose schools are located in priority areas of the city.

This Saturday, for the Science Festival, there will also be a question about a special discovery of the senses through a show – an educational, interactive and… magical show. In fact, the city has commissioned Magiciens des écoles with a program to discover the five senses by visiting a small palace: the Sensorium. The visit is led by two costumed guides.

Finally, the Aircraft Model Club is also associated with this celebration. Throughout the day, volunteers present a discovery of their passion with a drone simulator and model aircraft flight demonstrations. The club will also offer to build and fly their aircraft.

Fête de la science: Free, registration for on-site workshops from 9 a.m. or 15 minutes before each event.
