Windows 11 – Abandoned Apps List
Microsoft is expanding Windows 11’s list of legacy features with the addition of the Tips app. It’s the place to discover the latest news with every new Windows 11 feature update.
1 year agoany In November 2013, it was officially declared obsolete. However, Microsoft specifies that you will continue to receive content updates as long as they are pre-loaded with Windows. Faced with this additional information, the company will likely decide to remove it from the next major Windows 11 updates.

In September, it was announced that WordPad was being phased out in favor of Notepad, and a month before that, Cortana was being phased out in favor of Copilot. We have no information about the successor to Tips but Windows 11 already has a built-in Get Help app. It may become the new destination for learning about the latest updates. Microsoft can also redirect users to online documentation.
