Original story: In the last hour or so (at the time of writing), reports of PlayStation Network problems have skyrocketed, despite Sony reports. PSN Service Status Website says everything is up and running. Oddly enough, it’s not about connectivity issues or online multiplayer not working, which is the usual thing that happens when you start PSN. Actually it is about licensing the game.
Basically, PS5 and PS4 users cannot play their digital games. Try to start something and you will get a message saying “This content cannot be used. Could not connect to server to verify your license. Please wait a moment and try again.”
This is usually a message that appears when your account is not activated as a primary account on your console and you are not connected to the Internet to check your games. However, at this point, the message appears to appear regardless of your account status. It’s definitely an issue on the PlayStation’s part.
We don’t know how prevalent this problem is at the moment, but we do know that complaints are starting to flood social media and sites like fall detector There is a sharp increase in reports. We hope this will be resolved soon.
