'July 13th will be my first': Trump shooter allegedly posted before attack

The American teenager who allegedly shot former President Donald Trump during a speech last weekend had hinted at his intentions in a cryptic message on the video game platform Steam shortly before the attack.

“July 13th will be my first, watch it unfold,” wrote Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, who is believed to have been behind the attack at a rally in Pennsylvania, Fox News reported Thursday.

According to US media, the message, which was posted on the Steam video game platform a few days before the attack on Donald Trump, was discovered by searching the electronic devices of the alleged shooter.

At least that's what the Secret Service and the FBI revealed during a meeting of all US senators on Wednesday.

According to authorities, a search of the young man's laptop also revealed multiple searches in July for “Trump,” “Biden,” and “when will he announce?” [Convention nationale démocratique] “DNC” and “Trump rally on July 13,” Fox News has learned.

The investigation has reportedly not yet revealed any evidence of a particular political ideology on the part of the young shooter, while those around him have confirmed that he did not discuss politics.

Finally, the FBI found a second cell phone with only 27 contacts in Thomas Matthew Crooks' home, and authorities will try to track down all of these contacts for questioning, according to US media.
