CNN announced Tuesday that US Vice President Kamala Harris will give her first interview on CNN on Thursday since entering the election campaign a little over a month ago.

She will be interviewed by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who will accompany her as her running mate, with whom she will campaign in Georgia (south), a crucial state in the November 5 elections.
CNN said the interview with journalist Dana Bash will air at 9 p.m. local time.
The 59-year-old Democrat faced increasing pressure to give an on-the-record interview to a major US media outlet.
Until now, she has been content with very short exchanges with journalists after her travels or meetings with influential figures.
