Costco turned into a ‘water park’ when a thunderstorm flooded the store in Manchester.
Water gushed heavily from the roof of Costco as heavy rain lashed the city. The event happened on Monday, June 12th, but the amazing photos have just surfaced.
In a video posted to Instagram, huge pools of water can be seen forming on the ground as shoppers take out their phones to start filming, while others desperately try to dodge the water.
On that day, the Met Office, the UK’s national weather service, put parts of the Greater Manchester area under a general weather warning.
Heavy rain, thunder and lightning were also hitting parts of Greater Manchester, roads were flooded and trees were falling on various paths.
Warm temperatures the previous weekend had been tempered by rain, which flooded the platforms at Piccadilly station in the city and caused major delays for commuters.
Manchester City’s victory bid after winning the Champions League was also delayed due to the weather.
