The Mack Trucks plant in Roanoke Valley, Virginia, just rolled out the line of the 10,000th truck in its MD Series. The Mack MD6 and MD7, medium duty trucks, have been assembled there at this plant since September 1, 2020.
Designed for a wide variety of applications, including reefer and dry trucks, tank trucks, flatbed trucks and dump trucks, these two models complement the Mack Trucks Series 6 through 8 series.
Available in a 4×2 configuration, the MD6 and MD7 models feature a sharp wheel cut-out for improved maneuverability in harsh urban environments. The MD Series cab design features a bumper-to-cab (BBC) rear measurement of 103 inches. Mack Trucks said in a statement. The MD Series cab, hood and grille are modeled after the Mack Anthem®’s bold road styling.
With a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 25,995 pounds, the MD6 is lighter than the MD7, which has a combined curb weight of 33,000 pounds.
