Man Group Plc has announced the appointment of Laurie Fitch as a Non-Executive Director of the Company and a member of the Audit, Risk and Remuneration Committees, effective 25 August 2023. Laurie is expected to be appointed Chairman of the Board. of the Compensation Committee when Ann Wade steps down from this role following her appointment as Chair of the MAN Group following the departure of John Cryan later this year. Lowry’s background extends to asset management and investment banking, with extensive experience in capital markets and mergers and acquisitions. She is currently a partner in the strategic advisory group of investment bank PJT Partners.
Prior to that, Lowry spent four years in Morgan Stanley’s Global Energy and Global Industries groups, most recently as Head of the Global Industries Group in Europe. Previously, she spent most of her career as an analyst and portfolio manager at Artisan Partners and TIAA-CREF. She served as a Non-Executive Director at EnQuest PLC from 2018 to 2021, where she was a Member, then Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and a Member of the Risk Committee.
Lowry is currently a member of the Board of Directors of EDP (Energias de Portugal), a publicly listed Portuguese utility company and one of the largest developers of renewable energy, where she sits on the Business Administration and Sustainable Development Committee and the US Business Oversight Committee. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the American University in Cairo, a selected member of the Audit Committee and the Finance and Operations Committee of the Tate Board of Trustees, and Chair of the Advisory Board of the Center for Arab Studies.
