The Parl 11 En Association, a group of speech therapists, including Élodie Bonnafous de Saissac, recommends programs on swallowing among the elderly to eliminate catastrophizing and give advice to avoid false paths, and the Ma vie association teaches an activity adapted to physical fitness and muscle strengthening, flexibility and coordination. This association is currently active in Pennautier, every Tuesday.
Finally, the Icope program (an application on phones) and its tests were presented. It is an innovative program developed by the World Health Organization with the aim of preventing dependency among the elderly. Seniors should regularly answer a questionnaire about cognition, nutrition, the five senses, or psychological concerns.
